AgentIsland runs entirely on your Mac. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that sees your work. This page covers both the app and this website; where they differ, it says so.

What never leaves your machine

Your prompts, the commands your agents run, tool inputs, file contents and diffs, repository paths, session transcripts, and the names of your projects. None of these are transmitted anywhere, under any setting, ever. The app reads them locally to draw its own interface and for nothing else.

What is sent, and only if you ask for it

• Diagnostics — off by default. If you switch it on in Settings, the app may send its own version, your macOS version, and counts of successful and failed launches. The exact list is printed next to the switch.
• Sponsor impressions — only if a sponsored line was actually shown to you. Sponsored lines fund the free tier and can be switched off with a Pro licence; where they are switched off, nothing is reported here at all. When one is shown, the app reports how many times that happened, the app version, and an identifier for the installation — your licence instance if you have one, otherwise a random per-install value that means nothing off your Mac. It exists so a sponsor is billed for one Mac once, not to identify you, and nobody is paid for these views. No session data, no project names, no timings.
• Licence checks. If you activate a licence key, that key and a per-machine activation identifier are sent to our payment provider to verify it, and re-checked periodically. That is the whole exchange.
• Update checks. The app asks a static file whether a newer version exists. Standard web-server logs at that host may record your IP address, as they would for any download.

What is stored on your Mac

Usage history (per-session cost, token counts, model and project name) is kept locally for 90 days so the app can show you what your agents cost. It is never uploaded. You can clear it at any time, and removing the app removes it.

Files the app writes

Hook configuration in the CLIs you connect, and its own scripts, logs and settings in ~/Library/Application Support/AgentIsland. Every configuration file is named in the interface before you agree to it, backed up before the first edit, and restored when you disconnect.

This website

The site counts page views using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier in your browser, and builds no profile that follows you to other sites. What it records is the page you looked at, the referring site, and coarse device and country information derived from the request — the same things any web server writes to a log. It is not linked to your licence, and it cannot be, because the site never knows who you are.

We use it to answer one question: how many people read the page compared with how many download the app. To see the second half of that, pressing a Download button also loads a hidden, otherwise empty page called dl.html whose only job is to be counted — so a click registers as one more page view and nothing else. It does not delay or alter your download, and it records nothing about you that an ordinary page view does not. If you block any of this, the site and the download work exactly the same.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and the app is downloaded from GitHub Releases; both are operated by GitHub, whose own logs may record your IP address, as they would for any download.
